Visit to The Fitness Experience Gym

Last week we interviewed Marlon Francis at his Gym in Arima and while there, we decided to get a PUMP and we got overPUMPED!

The gym is located in Richard Trace Arima (next to T&Tec). If you’re familiar with Christmas in Arima then finding the gym should be no problem at all, as it’s next-door to those homes well known for their Christmas decorations.

Overall, the gym has a very cosy feel and is quite different from many of the larger gyms. Due to its size Marlon was able to easily provide guidance to his clients even with a fractured leg. The members of the gym were very friendly and supportive of each other much like family.

The first thing we noticed was the lack of an AC Unit, which was initially of some concern but as we began training we quickly realised it was not necessary. Getting warmed up was a breeze and the pump came quickly. Proper hydration however is a must as you can become easily dehydrated but you are less likely to get injured due to being insufficiently warmed up.

Secondly the bars aren't Olympic standard and this gave a different feel to the exercises which was a welcomed experience. The gym has a lot of free weights and enough machines to cover every major body part. Our favourite was the BODY-SOLID LEVERAGE SQUAT CALF MACHINE.

In conclusion, the gym has a really good feel and the environment is conducive to working out so next time you’re in the area, be sure to drop in for a session.
